What do I have to know about chat in Dream Bingo?
In this page we have some very important guidelines for what players should and shouldn’t do in chat. Most of it will be common sense and if you do have any questions then please contact Support and we'll go through these with you.
What is the chat etiquette?
To make sure that the chat rooms at Dream Bingo remain a very positive and pleasant place we ask all players to continue to observe certain rules:
• Please be patient with the chat hosts. Sometimes the rooms are extremely busy and they can have to deal with lots of questions and requests from players. If they have not got back to your question straight away please just give them a minute to respond!
• Respect the chat hosts position. The chat host is essentially in charge of the room so please accept their word.
• Chat Hosts do not take sides. There are inevitably times where two players may have a disagreement over something, no matter how trivial the matter may be. The chat hosts will always remain impartial. Please remember this and always be civil to your fellow players!
• Capital Letters. To make sure what the chat hosts write stands out from the players they write in capital letters. Because of this please remember to write in lower case at all times!
• Impersonation. It is very important that players never, ever impersonate a chat host as this can cause serious problems.
How should I treat my fellow roomies?
The most important word here is ‘respect’. As long as everyone bears this in mind then there should be no problems. Below is a detailed guide of how you should go about this.
• Nicknames. Please think carefully before choosing your nickname. There are some words or phrases that are clearly unacceptable which include cuss words, sexual references and alike.
• Luck. When you have a particular streak of good luck please do not gloat over other players. By all means celebrate with them (we hope you do that!) and congratulate players on their wins, but not do anything in reference to a win which you think will anger or annoy other players.
•Harassing players. One of the reasons why Dream Bingo is so popular is that there is great camaraderie between the players, but please do not let this end up in the harassment of other players.
•Player privacy. If you are trying to talk to a player who is not responding please leave them be. Not all players want to chat and if this is the case then they must be left alone.
• Chat topic. As with choosing nicknames, please remember to keep the topic of conversations acceptable to all by using your common sense. If you have any particular complaints then please contact support who will deal with them rather than airing this in the rooms.
•Other no no’s. It is important players never harass, abuse, slander, mistreat in any way, advertise any other bingo or casino sites, do not partake in anything that could be construed as ‘cyber sex’ or discuss anything of a sexual nature, saying anything offensive or racist and never ask for any money or donations from other players.
